'You're a Pink Toothbrush, I'm a Blue Toothbrush’ by Max Bygraves

Another sad day or am I just getting OLD? I have used Gibbs SR toothpaste, recently branded as Mentadent SR, for the past 50 years of my life and it looks like the manufacturer, Unilever, has pulled the plug on it! Why ... without even a word to anyone? Anyone recommend a good toothpaste that I can use for the next 50 years? Please put any comments back to me.

The lyrics to the song title above go something like this:

You're a pink toothbrush, I'm a blue toothbrush

Have we met somewhere before?

You're a pink toothbrush and I think toothbrush

That we met by the bathroom door.

Glad to meet toothbrush, such a sweet toothbrush

How you thrill me through and through

Dont be hard toothbrush on a soft toothbrush

'Cause I cant help loving you.

Every time I hear you whistle......

it makes my nylon bristle.......

You're a pink toothbrush, I'm a blue toothbrush

Won't you marry me in haste?

I'll be true toothbrush, just to you toothbrush

When we both use the same toothpaste.

Very corny, I know! But we loved it as kids in the 1950's when Uncle Mac came on the BBC "Light "programme radio every Saturday Morning with family favourites.

Time to try different toothpaste. :)
The lyrics of the song (though I've never heard it before) is really cute.

I'm just getting caught up on my blog reading at lunchtime today, and you've certainly posted some great stuff recently...and some wonderful (as always) photos!

Take care...

I've been using SR for the past 35 years and I have no fillings. Why should I risk my teeth with less effective toothpaste?

Sung this song to my three kids in the bathroom at teeth brushing time. Now singing it to my grandchildren. Lovely, happy 'bathroom song', Loved Max Bygraves when I was a kid growing up in England, I'm now 62 and living overseas.
