"Celebration" by Kool & the Gang

Claire and Ferruccio

Here we in the final stages of preparing for our daughter's wedding to Ferruccio Spinelli. Many last minute things to check and recheck and making sure all arrangements are in place to pick up friends and relatives from trains, bus and air stations. Have we remembered everything? We have the wedding "Dress Rehersal" on Thursday evening and then most of the family are staying at the Hotel on both Friday and Saturday night. On Friday evening we are having a "family and close friends" party but I have been given strick orders not to over indulge and we are all to be in bed early so that we are all bright eyed and bushy tailed on the Saturday.

"Handbags and Gladrags" by Rod Stewart

It is now only 2 weeks till our daughter's wedding and the cash has only been flowing one way, like a waterfall, for the past 3 weeks! Its only money. Janis was very happy today as she managed to buy a handbag that matched her shoes. Now she can relax in the knowledge that she is pleased with the whole outfit and there is no need to do any more shopping. Claire came out to our house this afternoon with one of her friends to get a final fitting to her bridesmaid’s dress so that is on time too.

We are all hoping for a nice spring day for the wedding because at the moment we are still wrapped up in winter woollies and it should be spring by now. Even the daffodils and crocuses are still hiding their colourful blooms.

I took Mandy out for a walk this afternoon and she was so pleased. Her tail was wagging all the way and she even chased some crows and that is something she never would do in the past.

We took the wee silver dream machine out today to stop the wheels from going square. It always brings a smile to my face when I let the engine sing its song. Roll on summer.

"Same" by Snow Patrol

Same again. Here we are with another day of snow. We are not so used to having so much snow here although some people would have us believe that it snows here all winter. We are not set up to cope with long spells of snow and ice on the ground unlike Canada where everyone has a set of winter tyres designed for driving on snowy roads. They usually have long winters there and need to be prepared. We are not prepared so things grind to a stop. Stores run out of essentials and everyone starts to panic buy as if the World is coming to an end. Well, not everyone panics, there are some people like myself who just laugh at it all.
Have a nice day.

Poor Mandy - I just had to take a picture of her struggling to cope with going to the toilet outside!

Poor Mandy - Here she is looking at me as if it is all my fault that that white stuff is there.

"Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow" by Bing Crosby & Frank Sinatra

This week is the worst Snow I have seen in a long time. Transport is almost at a standstill and most people are wisly staying at home and not even attempting to go to work. The weather men tell us that there is a lot more on the way, so, bring it on!

While the weather is like this I have been catching up on my Video Editing from as far back as 2001. I have completed my Australian Video and Janis has posted part of it to her pen friend in Melbourne where we were staying at the time. I have also completed my Indonesian Video taken in the Mahakan Delta while I was working for TOTAL installing, commissioning, and starting up a large Gas Compression Plant there in the jungle. If the weather continues like this for a while I may even get up-to-date with my video editing.

My car is stuck in the snow beside the house
