"Cook of the House" by Paul McCartney & Wings
As most of my friends already know, I enjoy cooking. Last night I made Mediterranean Lamb followed by ginger poached pear and chocolate sauce. Here are photos of the food. Mmmmm.
I have also included one of my favourite dishes .. Mirin Glazed Salmon with egg noodles.

I went for a nice, but cold, walk in Glen Tanar today. I was certainly in need of a long walk as it has been a while since I have had the opportunity to enjoy one and I felt like an old man by the time we got back to our car. Got home and had a relaxing, hot bath. Now I feel so much better and fit & ready to do it again. Here are some of the photos that I took in my bonnie Scotland. Thanks Harry R for suggesting the walk & the good company.
This is a drinking well within the Glen Tanar Estate. It reads as follows: "From earths flow, Seaward I go, Refreshing the World on my way, My duty done, My guerdon won, I rise on celestial way."
Guerdon means Prize in this verse.
"Rockin' Robin" by Michael Jackson
I don't know where they are all hiding this year. I found it difficult to find a Robin in our garden this winter never mind photograph one. Today I had my camera to hand while a Robin came down to say 'hello' to me. Not a great photo but Janet "sort of" challenged me to get a photo onto my BLOG. Here it is Janet, just for you.

"Happy New Year" by ABBA
I have been neglecting my blog for a month now and its 2008 already.
Not a lot has been happening except to say that we had a full house at Christmas with all of our family and Ferruccio's Mum and Dad came over from Italy staying with us too. I managed to cook for all of us and not a case of food poisoning in sight. I may have put on a few pounds too but who's counting. It's Christmas time after all.
Bruce had to go back to Glasgow all too early as he was working on Hogmanay.
